1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Dekzter handles information when you use the website, card database, search features, bookmarks, deckbuilding tools, and optional account features.
2. Information Dekzter Handles
Information stored in your browser
Dekzter uses browser storage for features such as your theme preference, bookmarks and quantities, local decks, deck primers, selected formats, and display preferences. This information remains on your device and is not sent to Dekzter unless a future synchronization feature clearly tells you otherwise.
You can remove this information by clearing site data in your browser. Doing so may permanently remove locally stored decks and bookmarks.
Optional Google or Facebook sign-in
If account sign-in is available and you choose to use it, Google or Facebook may provide Dekzter's authentication service with limited profile information. Depending on the provider and your settings, this may include:
- A provider-specific account identifier.
- Your display name.
- Your email address, when the provider makes one available.
- Your profile image, when available.
Dekzter uses this information only to create or identify your account, display basic account information, maintain your signed-in session, and protect account access. Dekzter does not receive your Google or Facebook password.
Session and security information
Authentication requires essential session information, such as account and session identifiers, expiration times, and secure authentication cookies. Authentication and infrastructure providers may also process IP addresses, browser or device information, and request metadata for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and service operation.
Information not intentionally collected
Dekzter does not intentionally collect payment details, precise location, address books, private messages, advertising profiles, or sensitive personal information. Dekzter does not currently use advertising cookies or behavioral-analytics trackers on Dekzter pages. Affiliate partners may use their own cookies or similar technologies after you follow a link to their service.
3. Cookies
If you sign in, Dekzter uses cookies that are necessary to complete the OAuth flow, maintain your session, prevent request forgery, and protect account access. These are functional and security cookies, not advertising cookies. Basic site preferences may instead be stored through local or session storage in your browser.
When you follow an affiliate link, the destination may receive an affiliate identifier and ordinary request information such as the referring page. The destination service may then use its own cookies or similar technologies according to its privacy policy.
4. How Information Is Used
Limited information is used to:
- Provide card-search, deckbuilding, bookmarking, and account features.
- Authenticate users and maintain signed-in sessions.
- Secure the Service and prevent misuse.
- Diagnose failures and maintain reliable operation.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce the Terms of Use.
5. Service Providers and Disclosure
Dekzter does not sell or rent personal information. Information may be processed by providers needed to operate the Service, including:
- Google or Meta when you choose their sign-in option.
- Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure.
- Cloudflare for website hosting, delivery, security, and connectivity.
- Other vendors strictly as needed to maintain the Service.
Affiliate links and conversion reporting
Dekzter may participate in affiliate programs. Affiliate links identify Dekzter as the referring publisher. An affiliate partner may report that a click or qualifying purchase occurred and may provide limited transaction information needed to calculate commissions. Dekzter does not receive your complete payment-card details from an affiliate program.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a reorganization or transfer of the Service subject to appropriate safeguards.
6. Third-Party Links
Links to card marketplaces, authentication providers, and other websites are governed by those services' own privacy practices. Dekzter is not responsible for how third-party websites handle information after you leave the Service.
7. Retention
Browser-local data remains until you clear it or the browser removes it. If accounts are enabled, basic account information is retained while the account remains active or as reasonably necessary to provide the Service. Sessions are retained until they expire or are revoked. Operational and security logs are retained according to the applicable infrastructure provider's retention settings and legal requirements.
8. Your Choices
- You may use public card-reference features without social sign-in.
- You may decline optional Google or Facebook sign-in.
- You may clear browser storage through your browser settings.
- You may revoke Dekzter's access through Google or Facebook settings.
- You may avoid affiliate tracking by not following affiliate links and may manage third-party cookies through your browser settings.
- You may request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
9. Security
Dekzter uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect account and session information. No online service can promise absolute security, and you should protect access to your social-provider account and device.
10. International Processing
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, those providers are responsible for using appropriate legal safeguards for international transfers.
11. Children's Privacy
Dekzter is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through an account feature, use any support or contact method published on Dekzter to request review and deletion.
12. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when site features, providers, or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented through the Service when reasonably appropriate.
13. Questions and Requests
Privacy questions and applicable data requests may be sent through any support or contact method published on Dekzter. Requests may require reasonable identity verification before account information is disclosed or deleted.
